From October 13 to November 5, 2025, Professor Konstantin Logachev from Belgorod State Technological University (BSTU) named after V.G. Shukhov, Russia, paid an academic visit to Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology (XAUAT). The event was organized by Professor HUANG Yanqiu, an early-career professor at the School of Building Services Science and Engineering, XAUAT, and the Chinese lead of the National Foreign Expert Program of China entitled "Mechanisms and Key Technologies for the Creation of Healthy and Comfortable Air Environments in Low-Carbon Buildings".

During the visit, Professor Logachev carried out a series of diverse academic activities, including specialized thematic lectures, one-on-one academic guidance for postgraduate students, collaborative research seminars, and on-site experimental guidance. In the thematic lectures, he systematically introduced his academic monographs, latest research progress, and research methodologies in recent years, with focused presentations on drag reduction technologies for local exhaust hoods and related components, as well as engineering control strategies for mitigating dust entrainment. In one-on-one sessions with postgraduate students, he provided in-depth guidance on the research topics of doctoral and master's candidates, particularly in data analysis and mathematical modeling, and put forward targeted revision suggestions for their draft journal manuscripts. Regarding collaborative research, he held in-depth discussions with Professor HUANG Yanqiu on the detailed content of the joint program, defined clear phased objectives and the division of tasks, which effectively advanced the follow-up joint research plan. In addition, Professor Logachev visited the school's experimental platforms, gained a detailed understanding of their operational functionalities, and provided theoretical guidance and optimization suggestions for the ongoing experiments.

Both parties confirmed that they will promote the orderly implementation of the collaborative program, continue to deepen bilateral cooperation, and jointly carry out R&D and engineering application research on key technologies for industrial built environments.
